Wyoming State Law, requires the Sheriff of each county to be responsible for search and rescue operations of missing person(s) in their county.  

Niobrara County has an active Search & Rescue team that is called on when persons go missing in Niobrara County.   Our team members have also been called to assist outside counties and other states in search and rescue operations.
