Registration of Sex Offenders, Procedures.
The below form must be completed by all Convicted Sex Offenders before living in Niobrara County, Wyoming. Complete and bring the form to the Niobrara County Sheriff's Office to register or update your current, Wyoming Sex Offender Registry information and details.
Any sex offender entering Niobrara County, Wyoming for three or more days must stop by the Sheriff's Office to register. Any sex offender leaving Niobrara County for three or more days must stop by the Sheriff's Office to deregister and report travel plans outside the county of Niobrara, Wyoming.
This must be done in person and not by phone. Call 307.334.2240 to make an appointment with our sex offender registry deputy. If there is any change to your details you have three business days to report the change. Failure to do so will make the sex offender non-compliant with the sex offender registry and subject the offender to additional felony charges.
The offender shall be photographed, fingerprinted and palm printed if not prior to being registered in Wyoming. All convicted sex offenders must be registered and keep the registry current by visiting the Sheriff's Office to update their records.
Details needed to be and remain compliant with the Wyoming Sex
Offender Registry Law.
Name, including any aliases ever used;
The registrant's physical address; and
The registrant's mailing address
Date and place of birth;
Social security number;
Place of employment;
Date and place of conviction;
Crime for which convicted.

You must come to the Sheriff's Office in person when you receive an address verification letter from the State of Wyoming. Bring current vehicle registration / papers on all vehicles that you drive or have access to use.
An IPV (In Person Visit) is done at the Sheriff Office.
Offenders must meet with us for these visits as based on the
registry classification of your status. Failure to have
an IPV will make the offender non compliant and subject them to
additional criminal charges.
The name and location of educational institutions in which the person is employed or attending school;
The license plate number and a description of any vehicle owned or operated by the offender; and
A DNA sample collected. As used in this paragraph, "DNA" means deoxyribonucleic acid located in the cells as defined in W.S. 7-19-401(a)(vi).
Complete the following form, and return to the Niobrara County, Wyoming Sheriff's Office to remain compliant with the Wyoming law. Offenders must complete the IPV meetings as per classification.
The Niobrara County Sheriff's Office will then report your details to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation to update the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry. They will also perform a community notification about your entry into the county, and within 750 feet from your home. This notification is currently being done by phone using the ECN CodeRED.
