DWUI / DUI Enforcement

To keep Wyoming Highways and Streets Safe.

The Niobrara County Sheriff's Office is requesting your assistance.

All Law Enforcement in Wyoming are getting tough on intoxicated drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and drugs.  Any person can be arrested for DUI if their driving is bad and they have been using any alcohol or drugs.

We are encouraging all citizens to pay attention while driving and watch out for the other drivers on the road.   Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately, through the REDDI reporting system to local law enforcement.  This report can be made by calling 9-1-1  or 1.800.442.9090 to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

You will need to give the following:  ♠ REDDI Report Form here

Direction of travel and last known location.   Driving patterns or why you believe them to be intoxicated.  Vehicle description and or plate number.  If you are following the vehicle, stay on the phone with the dispatcher.  Give play by play information of the REDDI driving.  Ensure that you keep a safe distance from the REDDI vehicle.   Do not break any traffic laws to observe the REDDI vehicle.   Report everything that you are seeing directly to the dispatcher.

As a caller you can remain anonymous, but to ensure that dangerous drivers are removed from the streets, we would like you to be a sworn witness.  Willing to testify in court and sign a statement of what you have seen and identify the driver or vehicle.

To meet the above requirements you will need to give your full name, date of birth, and contact information to include your phone number and address for law enforcement to contact you for a statement.   ♠ REDDI Report Form here ♠ keep a copy in your vehicles.

If you remain anonymous, law enforcement will have to make their own reasonable suspicion for the stop and probable cause for the arrest.  This may allow for a dangerous driver to go free without your help.
